PLM for textiles and apparel: from collection to contract manufacturing, in one flow.
Pimland brings the daily work of textile and apparel teams onto one data model: collection plans, sample rounds, tech packs, BOM and costing, contract manufacturing and quality control. Every revision is on record and every team works from the same current information.
Samples in one file, costing in another spreadsheet. Contract manufacturing status lives on the phone.
- ✕The tech pack goes out by email after every revision; no one is sure the contract manufacturer has the current version.
- ✕A fabric or trim changed, but the change never reached the BOM or the cost.
- ✕Which comments closed each sample round, and who approved it, is not recorded anywhere.
- ✕Quality findings are forgotten at season end, and the same defect shows up again in the next collection.
- ✕When the product is ready to sell, composition and care details are typed in again for e-commerce.
From collection to Digital Product Passport, step by step.
Collection plan
Season calendar, category style-count targets, collection mix and milestones on one board. The critical path is visible, and a step at risk of delay raises an alert in advance.
Samples and tech packs
Tech packs and measurement charts stay attached to the product record. Fit sessions are recorded with version history, comments and photo findings; the revision approve/reject flow is visible to everyone.
BOM and costing
Fabric, lining, trims, labels and packaging in a multi-level BOM. COGS/FOB/DDP, volume-cost scenarios and target-margin back-calculation keep cost current all season.
Contract manufacturing and quality
Tech packs and BOM snapshots are shared with the manufacturer through the supplier portal. Production progress, estimated delivery and delay alerts sit on one board; inline, final and pre-shipment audits stay on record with their corrective actions.
Digital Product Passport and sales
Composition, origin and care data are already recorded during development, so the Digital Product Passport is fed from that data. Approved products move to PIM and out to sales channels without re-entry.

Textile PLM frequently asked questions
Textile PLM is software that runs the development of a garment in one record, from the collection plan to samples, from tech packs to BOM and cost, and from contract manufacturing to quality. In Pimland this process runs on one data model, so design, product development and sourcing teams work from the same current information.
In Pimland, the season calendar and milestones, sample and fit tracking, tech packs and measurement charts, multi-level BOM, COGS/FOB/DDP costing, the supplier portal, production tracking and quality audits are on the same platform. Manufacturer plans and add-ons are also available.
Yes. Tech packs and BOM snapshots are shared with the manufacturer through the supplier portal, and revisions are versioned and compared. Production progress, estimated delivery and delay alerts appear on one board, and supplier performance is scored on on-time delivery, quality and communication.
Pimland imports your existing product data and connects to your ERP and e-commerce channels; our team supports setup, mapping and training. Timing depends on your product volume and integrations; a typical brand goes live within a few weeks.
Composition, origin, care and sourcing data are recorded in PLM and SRM during development. Pimland's DPP module builds the passport automatically from that existing data. The DPP obligation has not yet started for textiles and apparel; if the data is kept in one place from today, the passport needs no extra manual work.
